Södertull Your Health Center

Your health center has about 40 employees with various professional backgrounds and currently has over 7500 registered patients. We provide primary care with medical consultations, district nurse consultations, home visits, child health care, a psychosocial team, occupational therapy, and physiotherapy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Often, we in primary care are the first point of contact for patients with mental health issues. This involves a lot of collaboration with other medical and rehabilitation staff at the health center. As a social worker/psychiatric nurse/psychologist, you will be responsible for psychosocial assessments and short-term treatment interventions within the general medical competence area for conditions such as depression, anxiety, stress-related illnesses, crises, psychosomatic conditions, etc., for patients aged 18 and older. You will work with needs-based treatments at the individual and/or group level. Our patients also have access to internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy if deemed an appropriate treatment form. The work is independent, and competent colleagues are available for consultation when needed. We are part of the service Min vård Gävleborg, which creates opportunities for digital visits to facilitate communication between care and patients. The service complements the current care offerings and is an important piece of the puzzle in creating more accessible and equitable care.

The psychosocial team at Södertull Your Health Center is also part of a larger network within the Region Gävleborg in Gävle, including professionals such as social workers, curators, psychiatric nurses, and psychologists, where the goal is to maintain a good collaborative climate where we help and support each other.

As a member of our psychosocial team, you will work with:

• assessment of mental health issues
• independent psychotherapeutic and psychosocial work
• individual sessions and group treatments.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills and who is attentive in meetings with others. You plan and structure your work effectively and take responsibility for your tasks. You are empathetic and have the ability to understand someone else's situation, and you have a good understanding of people's different circumstances and adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient.

As a member of our psychosocial team, you should have:

• a degree in social work, psychiatric nursing, or psychology with at least CBT level 1 training.

For this position, previous experience in psychosocial and psychological treatment work within primary care is advantageous but not required. We place the greatest emphasis on your personal qualities.
